Holiday Rental House Description

Set in a friendly rural setting and only 5 minutes from the nearest town of La-Roche-Posay: A popular town famous for its spa resort, with renowned healing and regenerative properties, otherwise know as the European capital for skin treatment. The property built in 1901, is a large and spacious four bedroom rural farmhouse, recently renovated but maintains many of its original features, and will accommodate 2/3 families or 12 people if travelling with children. There is a fully equipped utility room with all amenities including a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, along with baby facilities. Outside is a large above ground pool for sole use of the guests.

Four double bedrooms, 1 super king size, individually decorated and furnished to a good standard. Comfortable, airy bedrooms, with sitting space. The rear bedrooms have large patio doors providing a view to die for, across the open fields and farm land.

There is a modern fully fitted bathroom, with a white suite, containg a seperate bath and large shower cubicle.

Light and airy with plenty of space for moveability with children or older people.
Downstairs toilet.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with a modern and French style to it, along with a breakfast bar with seating area for quick snacks and morning coffee. The cooker has electric hob and extract0r fan. Toaster, kettle deep fat fryer & rotisserie available.

There is a fully equipped utility room with all facilities including a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board and seperate drinks fridge.

The living room has a convienient and modern fire place for atmospheric evening relaxation, with a large and comfortable bed settee, for larger parties. A TV, stereo system DVD player and digital box are provided along with a variety of music and films.

A cozy wood burner is available for use in the dining area, along with plenty of crockery and cutlery for eating in or out doors. Set in the middle of the room is a beautiful Indian style dining table, which will comfortably seat 6 to 8 people.

Accessibility:
Downstairs toilet and bed setee are provided.
Golf clubs available upon request. (2 sets of adult clubs and 1 set childs clubs). 2 sets of fishing rods and tackle avialble upon request. All baby facilities are provided including a cot, high chair, stairgate and pushchair.


Car parking is available at the front of the house and there is a gated front diveway for added security. The rear of the garden is gated and has plenty of space for children to play. For alfresco dining there is the use of the modern fixed BBQ, and gazebo along with dining table and chairs.

A seperate bistro style table and chairs is situated on the rear terrace.
There is an above ground pool for sole use of the guests, with removable ladders for added security for younger children. Along side of the pool are sun loungers for sun lovers.

There are 2 adult bikes and 1 large child's bike avialable for use, should one wish to have a leisurely ride to the next village or to the local tennis courts at the rear of Chambon. Games are provided for children and adult entertainment, including outdoor chess and there is a large tennis net along with rackets.

Activities:
This is great riding country and cycling and a wonderful way to explore the countryside. You can hire horses for an hour or a day to suit all levels of expertise. There are golf courses, and good fishing in the rivers. Village fetes, festivals, concerts and theatre are held throughout the year. mny theme parks and adventure day outs for the children: (more information available at the owners web site www.skoha.com).

The river La Cruse runs closley by the house (within walking distance) and fishing is popular in the area both with the locals and tourists. Fishing rods available for use.

Christmas decorations and a tree are in storage at the house for people who wish a relaxing Christmas break.
There are losts of attractions still open Christmas day and through the New Year such as La Haute-Touche (the largest zoological park in France). Here there is a special feeding time for the animals on Christmas day.

Driving time - Calais - 6/7 hours, Le Havre 5 hours, Caen 4 hours, St Malo 3 ½ hours.
By air - 1 hours from Tours and 40 mins from Poitiers airports served by Ryanair out of Stansted. 1 ½ hours from Limoges airports served by both Ryanair and Flybe. 2 hours from La Rochelle served by Ryanair and Flybe.

Connections are also possible by rail as the TGV stops at Tours, Châtellerault, Poitiers.
