The garden has a selection of mature fruit trees bearing juicy morello cherries and other fruits. The house backs on to open fields ensuring a peaceful idyllic setting. It is ideally located for walking, cycling and exploring the local flora and fauna. Surrounding the house there are various walks through wooded areas, farmland and meadows. Chéronnac is in the department of Haute Vienne and is on the edge of the Dordogne and the Charente. The department of the Haute Vienne is distinguished by the abundance of forests and lakes. Nearby attractions include: Limoges, famous for it's porcelain (50 mins) In Limoges you will also find various public pools an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts and a climbing wall. The town of Rochechouart with an interesting church with a twisted spire and chateau, (20 mins) Oradour sur Glane, a village left exactly as it was when the German army departed after the second world war, the inhabitants having been massacred.
